Unidentified Body Recovered from Storm Drain on Dole Street

Honolulu, Hawaii - February 28, 2023

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) is investigating the recovery of an unidentified body from a storm drain on Dole Street on Monday, February 27, 2023.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., HPD officers responded to a call about a body found in a storm drain near the intersection of Dole Street and Kalakaua Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the body of an adult male in the drain.

The body was recovered and transported to the Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office for identification and autopsy. The cause of death is still under investigation.
