Die Wuerzburger Kickers Wollen Gegen Den 1 Fc Nuernberg Ii Den Anschluss An Die Spitzengruppe Herstellen

Die Würzburger Kickers want to establish a connection to the top group against 1. FC Nürnberg II

Würzburg wants to regain contact with the top

After four competitive games without a win, the Würzburger Kickers want to get back on the road to success against 1. FC Nürnberg II on Saturday (kick-off: 3 p.m.). The Franconians are currently in ninth place in the table with 27 points, four points behind third in the table. Nevertheless, coach Boban Donyme is confident before the home game against the Nuremberg reserve: "We have a lot of quality in our squad and we also showed that in the last few games. If we manage to consistently implement what we do in training on the pitch for 90 minutes, we can beat any opponent in the league beat," said the 43-year-old at the press conference before the game.

However, the task against the Nuremberg youngsters will not be easy. The team of coach Cristian Fiel is in good shape and have won four of their last five games. Most recently, the FCN reserve celebrated a sovereign 2-0 home win against TSV Buchbach. Nevertheless, Donyme is optimistic: "We know that Nuremberg has a strong team, but we have prepared well for the game and are confident that we can win the game," said the Kickers coach.

Kickers with worries about personnel

In terms of personnel, Donyme has to make two changes compared to the 1-1 draw in Ansbach last weekend. Gojko Jelec, who saw the yellow-red card there, is suspended, and Simon Rhein is still injured. For Rhein, David Kopacz will probably start in central defense, while Dardan Karimani is likely to replace Jelec in midfield. Otherwise, Donyme is likely to rely on the same starting XI that started in Ansbach.

The game against 1. FC Nürnberg II will take place on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Flyeralarm Arena in Würzburg. Tickets for the game are still available at the box office and online.
