Chiefs Re-Sign Butker to Multi-Year Contract

Pro Bowl Kicker Inks Lucrative Deal

Key Details of the Contract

The Kansas City Chiefs have reached a new multi-year contract with star kicker Harrison Butker, ensuring his continued presence with the team. The deal, valued at $20,275,000 over the life of the contract, includes a base salary of $3,945,000 and a workout bonus of $50,000 in 2024. Butker's cap hit for that season is projected to be $4,000,000. This contract makes Butker the 11th highest-paid kicker in the NFL in terms of annual average value (AAV), which sits just over $4 million.

Coming off a successful season with the Chiefs, Butker earned approximately $3,550,000, with a signing bonus of $700,000. The total contract amount averages out to $5,500,000 per year, slightly above his previous AAV of $4 million.
